Joseph J. Cirilano
Born and raised in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, Joe’s upbringing in this blue collar section of Pittsburgh gave him a special appreciation for, and keen understanding of, the working men and women he represents. He considers it a point of personal pride to enforce the legal rights of his clients against large corporations who routinely put profits before people. As a Shareholder at the firm, Joe manages the Cambria County, PA, and Maine asbestos dockets for GPW and handles various aspects of GPW’s Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Michigan asbestos practice.
Joe is a graduate of Allegheny College where he majored in Psychology and minored in Communication Arts. He later went to night school at Duquesne University School of Law — putting himself through law school by working as a stock-boy at a grocery store and then as a law clerk for the DA’s office and his current employer.
Currently, Joe lives in Edgewood, PA, with his wife of 20 years, Jeanne, and their two children: Joseph (17) and Mia (15).
In his spare time, Joe is an avid mountain biker and can be found in the woods of Frick Park almost every day or on the basketball courts of Edgewood and Forest Hills. His children are currently students at Central Catholic and Ellis. Additionally, he plays basketball in the Edgewood Men’s Basketball League. He has coached his children’s varied and numerous sports teams and is presently Athletic Director at their school, the Carlow University Campus School.
Just because a trial verdict is reached, it doesn’t mean the case is closed. Parties involved may appeal the verdict if they truly believe the court or jury made the wrong decision. A skilled appellate attorney will help you file an appeal to make sure justice is fair on all counts
We have a long history of litigation for mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, and related cancers caused by asbestos exposure.
Much has been done to improve the safety of those whose occupations put them at greater risk, but there are still times when safety takes a hit, whether through carelessness or outright negligence. Our occupational disease lawyers are familiar with the types of disease, cancers, and injuries caused by various exposures and understand the industries typically involved.
Whether through traffic accidents, slips and falls, or defective products, if you have been injured through no fault of your own, let us evaluate your case.
If you have sustained injuries at a hotel, restaurant, parking lot, school, mall or in some other building where you were entitled to be, you may be entitled to compensation.
Serious injury or even death can result from poorly-designed or risky products. Contact us for a no-obligation consultation.
For more than 30 years, our attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff have been pioneers in toxic tort lawsuits. We have helped many people who have been injured themselves, but also many families who’ve lost loved ones to toxic exposures, and also to those who have suffered as a result of second-hand exposure.
